Production of Musical Instruments

Sheperd’s pipe (salašnická fujara) or overtone flute (koncovka) are woodwind instruments most often made of elder wood. Overtone flute is one of the oldest whistles known to mankind. It is played with the help of an exhalation current, the strength of which we regulate in different ways and at the same time we plug the end hole, thereby changing the sounding notes. Harmonic flute is a prime example of an instrument of just intonation, therefore anyone can play it brilliantly even without previous instructions and musical knowledge. It is very popular precisely because of the simplicity of the game, which creates wonderful sonorous melodies. The use of wind instruments is particularly suitable for clients with asthmatic problems, etc. The same type of instrument as the endpiece is a mountain windpipe. It is a longer instrument with a more complex construction and a larger tonal range, it is played in a similar way to the tailpiece. Allows the use of glissando. The nozzle is also equipped with three holes that can be plugged with your fingers. It is therefore a folk flute, widely used in the region of Wallachia and the Slovak mountains. In music therapy, we use it for natural tuning and beautiful sound colour.
