As is the music loved by absolutely all of people in the world, so are some of the musical instruments widespread across numerous cultures throughout the continents. As if the good human ideas and inventions expand to the world organically purely by their own inner force. Jew’s harp undoubtedly is one of such musical instruments. Even though it is considered to be exotic and rare even to this day, it often emerges when one does not expect it. Suddenly it is heard in a popular radio song, outside the town by a campfire, during a holiday stay in abroad. Sometimes it cheers up, another time it calms down the atmosphere. Always catches attention.

 

On jew’s harp gathering we will jointly try to discover what is it that makes this simple instrument so extraordinary. How to get acquainted and how to communicate with jew’s harp? How to make it sound? Is it just a toy that can produce just a few odd sounds, or it can be plucked to make melodies? Is it necessary to play compositions actually? Could one really use the jew’s harp as a meditation tool? Does it even have healing effect?

The time spent together aims to pass on the several years of enthusiast’s experience in order to boost ones creativity by using jew’s harp as a means of communication and self-expression in the very present moment. Each of the participants will be offered to gain a rather profound insight into obvious as well as into incomprehensible aspect of jew’s harp playing. We will experience the vibration that has been resonating throughout the whole world for centuries by our own senses.
